Voice of the Amazonian Rain Forest's approach is to immerse the audience completely in Don Ignacio's conversation with the living world and reacquaint us with our own intuitive experiences of nature. Rather than a distanced journalist observing and reporting, or falling into the trap of projecting a Western way of thought, the audience will be spellbound by the profound and “magical” world of the shaman with Don Ignacio Duri as our guide.

Interviews with scholars and experts – conservationists, anthropologists and ethnographers – will be used sparingly to substantiate the stories and help viewers understand the cultural context. To illustrate Don Ignacio's stories we will shoot footage of the rain forest and its inhabitants. Besides filming on location in Peru we propose creating digital visual effects to enhance the footage and dramatize ideas that cannot be captured by camera alone.
